Day 1:
Depart USA gateways NYC, BOS, WAS, LAX airport on overnight flights to Belgrade via London. In-flight dinner and breakfast served by Virgin Atlantic.
Day 2:
Arrive at Nikola Tesla airport, Belgrade, transfer to Hotel Royal in the heart of the “Old Town” section of Belgrade. Free time to settle in or stroll and shop on Knez Mihajlova Street. Welcome dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3:
Breakfast at the Hotel Royal: Walking tour of the city. We'll start at the Patriarchy of Serbian Orthodox Church, the baroque style cathedral (Saborna crkva), later we'll visit Kalemegdan Fortress and Park, a green oasis overlooking the Sava and Danube rivers. Afternoon Ethnographic Museum, filled with Serbian folk history, Fresco Gallery and National Theatre and Museum, Parlament House and White Palace. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Royal.
Day 4:
Breakfast at the Hotel Royal. Drive to Sremski Karlovci (the spiritual and cultural center of the Serbs), Old Patriarchy palace, birthplace of Russian orthodox Church Abroad. Vine testing with snack at the biggest cellar-mine in town. Novi Sad and famous Petrovaradin Citadel known as the “Gibraltar of the Danube” built during the reign of Empress Maria Teresa. Drive along beautiful slopes of the Fruska Gora Mountin –National Park and Monasteries Krusedol and Grgeteg. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Royal.
Day 5:
Breakfast at the Hotel Royal. Drive to Valjevo “region full of history and poetry” prominent Nenadovic family, great Serbian poetess Desanka Maksimovic, Duke Zivojin Misic, Bishop Nikolaj Velimirovic and jeromonk Justin Dr. Popovic, we we'll visit old part of town “Tesnjar”, Monastery Lelic “ Serbian Jerusalem”, Monastery Celije founded in a period of King Dragutin (1280). Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Royal - Belgrade.
Day 6:
Breakfast at the Hotel Royal. Drive via Avala and Kosmaj to northern part of Sumadija to the small town of Topola. Here we'll see the mausoleum church of St. George, filled with beautiful mosaic frescoes from Serbian monasteries. We'll visit on of the famous King’s Cellar at the Royal Vineyard. Back to airport Belgrade, flight to Tivat Transfer from airport to Hotel Igalo dinner and overnight.
Day 7:
Breakfast at the Hotel Igalo. Drive to nearby Herceg Novi and Monastery Savina. On the end of Gulf the town of Kotor, “town museum”sticks determinedly to the steep sides of Mount Lovcen, in one of the most dramatic settings in all of the Mediterranean. We'll visit Budva and Milocer “garden full of greenery” and famous island of St. Stefan. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Igalo.
Day 8:
Breakfast at the Hotel Igalo. Full day Dubrovnik tour “Jewel of the Adriatic”. Dubrovnik has a remarkable history, with its magnificent stone walls, churches,palaces and plazas, it is architecturally a living monument to the days when it was an affluent merchant state. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Igalo.
Day 9:
Breakfast at the Hotel Igalo. Scaling the heady slopes of Mt. Lovcen the trip from Kotor town to Cetinje, Capital city of Montenegro, is one of the most magnificent in Europe. We'll visit village Njegusi, birth place of dynasty Petrovic, Cetinje Monastery, where is kept relic-hand of St. John Baptist and mausoleum of Petrovic family. Back via Budva to Igalo. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Igalo.
Day 10:
Transfer from Hotel Igalo to airport Podgorica, flight via Belgrade to USA.
