Day 1:
Depart USA gateways airport on overnight flight to Belgrade. In-flight dinner and breakfast served by carrier.
Day 2:
Arrive at Nikola Tesla airport, Belgrade, transfer to Hotel Royal; Evening shoping area, Knez Mihajlova Street and Bohemian quart Skadarlija, art gallery, Bajloni’s Brewery. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3:
Breakfast at the Hotel Royal; Kalemegdan is the largest and most beautiful Belgrade park and a cultural and historical complex, Ouster Stambol Gate, The Guard’s building, Karadjordje Gate, The Sahat gate and Tower, The King Gate, Zindan gate and Towers, Leopold Gate; Ruzica Church, Shrine of the birth of the Holy Virgin Mary, between the Upper and Lower Town; Chapel of St. Parasceva (Petka) was built in 1937 her relics kept in the Church, the water well under the Church with a cupola is considered to be curative even in the present. Complex King’s Palaces and Church at Dedinje Hill, the White palace is the newest residence of the Karadjordjevic dynasty, built in 1934 by the order of King Aleksandar; Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Royal.
Day 4:
Breakfast at the Hotel Royal; The oldest Belgrade Café-restaurant, Palace of Princess Ljubica, Kosancicev Venac, National Museum and Theatre, National Parliament, Old Palace of Milan Obrenovic, New Palace of Aleksandar Karadjordjevic, Terazije. At evening, visit performance at National Opera and Ballet House. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Royal.
Day 5:
Breakfast at the Hotel Royal. Take a winding road through the northern part of Šumadija to the small town of Topola. Here we'll see the mausoleum church of St. George, filled with beautiful mosaic frescoes from Serbian monasteries. Oplenac is a true region of wine. Visit on of the famous King’s Cellar at the Royal Vineyard (testing vine & prosciutto). Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Livade – Preljina.
Day 6:
Breakfast at the Hotel Livade. Drive to beautiful Ovčar-Kablar gorge, known as the Serbian Holy Mountain with its ten working monasteries. We'll see medieval sites in Užica and take breathtaking side roads through fields and forests. Visit open-air folk museum "Staro selo" (Old village) in Sirogojno, filled with traditional-style houses of the Zlatibor region. Shop for traditional craft items and the world-famous hand-spun and hand-knit sweaters. Mokra Gora is best known for its spectacular Šargan Eight Railways. Designed in a figure eight loop, engineers in the early 1900’s were able to work around the steep cuttings and narrow gorges (300 m vertical difference between the two stations Mokra Gora and Šargan-Vitasi). Drive west toward the Bosnian border on medieval bridge Visegrad. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Mokra Gora.
Day 7:
Breakfast at the hotel Mokra Gora – The Ethno Park "Terzića avlija" – Zlakusa – over 100 year old Serbian houses-memorial to Serbian soldiers in World Wars. Shop for pottery products and folk national manufactures. We’ll visit theFestival in Guca, Folk art Festival in Dragacevo, Food Festival in Kosjeric & Mrcajevci, Wedding party parade and celebrate Vidovdan and Trinity Sunday in Orthodox manner. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in area of Western Serbia.
Day 8:
Hotel West. Serbia – Drive to Valjevo “region full of history and poetry” prominent Serbian family Nenadović, which gave leaders of the First Serbian Uprising, ministers of the first Serbian government, spiritual leaders, Queen Persida Karađorđević, mother of King Peter I of Serbia and best known Serbian poetess Desanka Maksimovic, Bishop Nikolaj Velimirovic, monks and professor Justin Popovic. Monastery Lelic “Serbian Jerusalem “. Back to Belgrade, farewell dinner with live music in the Bohemian district of Skadarlija. Overnight at the Hotel Royal.
Day 9:
Breakfast at the Hotel Royal - Transfer to airport Nikola Tesla, depart to USA.
